In this week’s episode, we welcome Alan Jaeger from Jaeger Sports back into the studio to open up a moving dialogue on the importance of bringing Mental Practice into your practice plans and into the culture in our program. Jaeger has mentioned countless times on social media “you become what you practice” and he is calling for coaches to bring this element of training to their players to better prepare them for the demands of the game. We cover a cornucopia of topics and ideas while taking questions directly from our listenership and delivering them to Jaeger over the airwaves. Questions range from the practice of meditation and breathing to the details of visualization and how to guide players through the uncovering of their own process. The most prominent point made throughout this show is that we do not need to have our Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology to implement this into our practice plan.
