In this episode, host Jane Marks sits down with Nancy Cipoletti, Director of Alzheimer's Programs for the West Virginia Bureau of Senior Services, to discuss the issue of preparing to be a family caregiver.

The transition to becoming a family caregiver happens within the context of everything else that’s going on in your life. It’s hard to prepare for that role, because you don’t know who it might be that you find yourself caring for – an aging parent, a spouse, an adult child or young child, a friend or loved one. You learn on the job as you go. Jane and Nancy offer their unique personal perspectives, drawing from their experiences serving as caregivers and providing support in their professional careers to those transitioning into the caregiving role.
