Previous Episode: Ep. 53 Reynolds Interview

Dr. Justin Losciale (e-mail, ResearchGate, Twitter) of the University of British Columbia, Department of Physical Therapy is interviewed by Becca Catlin regarding a publication from the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy titled, “The Association Between Passing Return-to-Sport Criteria and Second Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury Risk: A Systematic Review With Meta-analysis.” This episode contains information that will be interesting for practitioners who want to gain a better understanding of the role that published criteria should or should not play when decided if a player undergoing rehabilitation is prepared for return-to-sport. Additionally, use these links to find several studies that Dr. Losciale referred to during the interview: Wiggins et al 2016 (ACL re-injury rate) as well as  Kyritsis et al 2016, Grindem et al 2016, Nawasreh et al 2017, and Sousa et al 2017 (the four studies identified in this review).
