On today’s episode of “Here's The Thing,” Michael Chromiak, filling in for Thomas Arnone, and Mitch Williams discuss the previous week of Philadelphia Phillies action. The Philadelphia Phillies started the week off strong by taking three out of four games against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Phillies ended the week just as hot by sweeping the Oakland A’s. The Phillies have a tough NL East-based home stand coming up this week as the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets take their turns at Citizens Bank School. Join Michael Cromiak and Mitch Williams as they look back at the impressive road trip for the Phillies. The Phillies pitching resurgence has been more impressive than the offensive rebound. Join the fellas and let them know if you #Agree or #Disagree with that statement. It’s truly amazing what happens with this team and their rankings when the calendar switches to June. The Phillies were able to exercise some demons playing in Arizona against the Diamondbacks and took that momentum north to sweep the strugglings A’s. The Phillies are currently in third place in the NL East standing, 8 games behind the Braves and 3 games behind the Marlins for second place. A big week against the Braves and Mets can put the Phillies within striking distance of the top spot in the division before the All-Star Break. The Phillies were dealt a blow to the bullpen this past week as Serantony Dominguez was placed on the Injured List with an oblique strain. Can the Phillies bullpen and pitching overall help get through this stretch of games without one of their top relievers?
