The Philadelphia Flyers offseason is fully underway. They have made some important free-agent signings that were discussed last week. More importantly, they were able to come to terms with most of the RFAs that needed to get done, but one big name remains. That name is Morgan Frost. He is the last remaining RFA that needs a contract from the Flyers. Frost is coming off a career year and a bit of a breakout season under head coach John Tortorella. He finished the season with 19 goals and 27 assists for 46 points. He also has stepped up in the faceoff circle, winning 45% of his faceoffs in 81 games. Morgan's plus-minus was -12, which isn't fully his fault, but he still needs to play a bit better in the defensive zone. All in all, Frost had a much better fourth season in the NHL than was anticipated. The Flyers will be looking for him to take another step forward. If you were Danny Briere, what would be your contract offer for Morgan Frost? The Flyers' offseason has been a surprisingly busy one. As previously stated, the Flyers have gone out and brought in a few new names to help build a winning culture in the locker room. More importantly, they have signed their big-name RFAs. Noah Cates and Cam York received a two-year contract for the seasons they had last year. Hopefully, like Morgan Frost, they take their games to the next level over the two-year term to earn a bigger contract when the time comes. The Flyers also offered a two-year contract to Olle Lycksell worth $787.5 AAV. Lycksell only saw eight games in the NHL; he was good for 14 goals and 31 assists for 45 points in 53 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Outside of Morgan Frost, do the Flyers make any other moves this offseason? The NHL is still seeing its flurry of moves from teams getting ready for camps opening up in about a month. The Top 3 picks from the NHL Draft have all been signed to their respective teams on their three-year entry-level contracts. Some of the other moves to mention: New Jersey native, Ross Colton, re-signed a four-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche after being traded to the Avs by the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Anaheim Ducks were able to re-sign Lukas Dostal to a two-year deal and BO Groulx to a one-year deal. The St Louis Blues were also able to come to terms with RFA Alexey Toropchenko after he had filed for arbitration. What other free agents are going to sign before training camps start?
