New South Wales has recorded a triple-digit rise in daily COVID cases for the first time in well over a year, as the threat of an extended lockdown looks ever more likely. There were 112 new cases of coronavirus detected by NSW Health in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday, with the vast majority being close contacts or relatives of existing cases.
