I first met Cody Robinson during my undergrad years at Auburn University. At the time he was a cop. A really cool one at that. We both practiced parkour together. Cody was a cop in Alabama for 5 years. I sat down with him to have a conversation on policing in America and how it affects Black lives. It’s interesting to see where our thoughts and ideals converge and diverge. In this episode we covered cop training, psychology, and what could be done on both sides to help with the over policing of Black bodies. The conversation was civil but not always in agreeance. It gets really heavy so strap in for the ride. Excuse the long episode.
