The Jo(h)ns will lead a combined adult Sunday school class during Advent, looking at the arrival of the Messiah in the gospels. It will be three sessions and explore the birth stories in Matthew and Luke as well as the Word made flesh in John. Most of us Christians combine these stories especially as we celebrate Christmas, but the Good News of his arrival is described differently by the gospel writers and this is an opportunity to celebrate and ponder the mystery if incarnation as we find it described in scripture.
