Join Brian and Tim, two life long comic freaks, as they take a look at one of the quintessential comic book writer/artists of the last 40 years, John Bryne. Each episode your hosts will pick an issue or issues from the best, the worst, the sometimes-co

In every revolution there’s one man with a vision. And that man is John Byrne. But he did not just have one, he had multiple New Visions, so much so that IDW comics published a series by that name: Star Trek: New Visions.

3rd Degree Byrne takes a look at the first regular issue in the Star Trek New Visions series, a story titled ΓÇ£The Mirror, CrackedΓÇ¥. Now we just have to see if they got seven years bad luck.

The whole crew is here; John Hijatt, Kirk Greenfield, David Thompson, Brian Hughes and Tim Elliott, and they have a great diversion from the regular art here as John Byrne did not draw this story, but put it together as a photo-montage. It is really something to see as Byrne writes it as an original series episode. You can practically hear the voices and the music.

We also talk a little bit about some good TV, like Star Trek Discovery, and discuss the latest news on Byrne himself. Not to worry, it is nothing bad, but we know John Byrne found it shocking.

So pull up a mirror, a cool tall one and relax as 3rd Degree Byrne knock out Star Trek, New Visions #1.

You will wind up talking to yourself over this one.

Huge props to Andrew Leyland for singing our opening theme!
