Tremors

Directed by Ron Underwood and released in 1990, Tremors has been described as “Jaws in the sand” and for our money, this is a spot on critique. The comparison isn’t a bad thing, however, as Ron was able to take most of what made Jaws a classic and seamlessly incorporate those elements into his dirt neoclassic. There’s no arguing that Tremors has turned into a successful franchise- spawning multiple film sequels, a television show, and even a video game. The original film still stands as the best of the bunch and is just as fun to watch now as it was back during it’s initial release.

An often over looked Marvel Villain, Mole Man has been around since the early 60’s when he debuted in the pages of Fantastic Four #1. Created by the legendary team of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Mole Man has a flair for dress and knows how to make an entrance. Flagged by his loyal minions and legion of Monsters, Mole Man is not someone to dismiss and has proven to be a constant thorn in the sides of the Fantastic Four, The Avengers and even Daredevil over the years.

We can’t say enough about the amazing work Mark Waid put out during his run with Daredevil in 2012. One of the absolute best issues during this time was Daredevil #10. Not only did it pit Daredevil against Mole Man for a classic showdown; but the cover art to the issue is nothing short of amazing.This book has shed new light on Mole Man’s persona and added some great depth to his character. If you have yet to read this issue, we highly recommend it… as we do all of Mark Waid’s awesome Daredevil run.
