Today’s reading is from 1 Peter 2:3-4

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

"Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy."

Take a few moments to meditate on these verses.

Now, take some time to think about and answer these questions:

9. What is the purpose of our “chosen generation”, that we should do what? To glorify (show forth the praises of) God.

10. What is the difference between the past and the present? Now we have obtained mercy.
