Today’s reading is from 1 John 4:1-2

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

"Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:"

Take a few moments to meditate on these verses.

Now, take some time to think about and answer these questions:

1. Why are we to test instruction (spirits) against scripture (whether they are of God)? There are many false prophets.

2. How do we know the Spirit of God? They confess Christ came in the flesh.
