Welcome to the 25th Hour Podcast – where successful business owners talk about the magic of creating a 25th hour every day! We've all been there - your calendar is in great shape. Your to-do list is done. You are in the zone . . . All your balls in the air are being easily juggled. Then....something changes, and suddenly chaos reigns! This podcast will help you learn to up-level your time management strategies so you can get back in control of your day – and make an extra hour, your 25th hour, a reality - every day.

Today’s guest is Jamie Peltz. Always a problem solver, Jamie looks at common everyday problems from a different perspective. After 17 years of working for a corporation, Jamie found herself unemployed in 2007. She saw this as an opportunity to follow her dream to become an entrepreneur. It was a simple vision "I wanted to create a company where I could work with my friends doing the things we like to do.” Over the years she and the team have received multiple patents and been able to commercialize a few of their inventions.

In this episode, we discuss why having less on your list can help you get more done, how to effectively allocate your working hours, and Jamie shares her top time management strategies to win the day!

Time Management Strategies for Success:

Track Time - “There are these buckets in your life - family, work, exercise - so I decide how much time should be devoted to each one, and then allocate hours to those particular areas.”Plan on Sunday - “On Sundays, I lay the next week out on a grid and understand what projects I’m working on and when. I also allocate time for things like exercise and making dinner.”Less on the List - “We all try to put like 20 items on our list without being realistic about how long a project might take - so I will put closer to 3 items on my list and cross them off when they’re done, then I feel like I’ve won the day.”

Here’s how Jamie likes to spend her 25th Hour:

Hiking - “In the past year, I’ve started hiking. I was surprised by how much I like it because I’m not a cold-weather person, but once you get into it, it’s not cold anymore.”Movies - “I used to love going to movies because no one bothers you for 2 hours and you can sit there and eat popcorn without checking your phone.”Theme Nights - “I have theme nights every month with my family, sometimes over Zoom, which has created a way for us to all do something together and stay connected even though we’re thousands of miles away from each other.”
