Today’s guest is Freia Ramsey. Freia is a Yoga Therapist, studio owner, and entrepreneur. She works privately and in groups empowering her students with the tools of Yoga to release chronic tension and pain in the physical body and stress and anxiety that is held in the emotional and mental bodies. She believes that the practices should meet each person where they instead of trying to make the person fit a preconceived idea of what the body should look like or be able to do.

In this interview, Freia shares her experience as a business owner and yoga therapist. Her teachings are rooted in a sincere desire to help people to alleviate suffering in their bodies and their minds. Time Management Strategies for Success:  

Downregulate the nervous system - “The simplest strategy for this is diaphragmatic breathing. When you breathe down into your diaphragm, you slow down your breath, and you're slowing down your brainwaves, which calms and soothes your nervous system.”Meditation / yoga nidra - “ I do a morning meditation to develop a storehouse of equanimity, and then halfway through the day, I take a break and do a yoga nidra, which is a guided meditation.”High focus time - “I have two high focus times a day, morning and afternoon. Motivation is like a battery, so having those two chunks of time helps me hyperfocus and eliminate distractions.”External accountability - “I think, “When I meet with Lisa, she's gonna say, ‘Did you do your high focus today?’” There’s something about being accountable to someone outside of you to keep you on the straight narrow.”

Here’s how Freia likes to spend her 25th Hour:

Hiking - “I love to go hiking and just be in the woods, especially with my husband, and my daughter if we can drag her along, and our dogs.”Being in Nature - “This can look many different ways, sometimes just laying in the grass and staring up at the leaves of a tree.”
