21st Film (2000): #011 - Chocolat (with Nuri McBride)

The first of the five films from 2000 to gain a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars, it's fair to say this sort of populist drama (with the potential sub-genre of 'cosy drama' offered within the episode) wouldn't be as frequently near the awards ceremonies, but this was the era of the Weinsteins and the blockbuster romantic novel adaptation.
