Episode 32: San Antonio Gaelic Athletic ClubThis week, we step into our general entertainment segment by speaking with a player and the Public Relations Officer of the San Antonio Gaelic Athletic Club, and my best friend, Rick Ortiz. For those who are unfamiliar, Gaelic refers to Irish and Scottish generally and in this case, the sports that were born in Scotland and Ireland. In this case, we’re going to focus on Irish Football, but there’s also a sport called Hurling, that I’m particularly fond of.Rick and I talk about the Gaelic culture here in San Antonio, the sports, the language, and all of the things that not only make us proud of our Irish and Scottish brothers, but of our own heritage. Towards the end of the episode, we dive right into music specifically, as well as the music of the local scene.Important Dates:This Saturday, February 15th, catch the San Patricios vs Irish Citizen Army FOR FREE at The University of The Incarnate Word Soccer Fields at 4301 Broadway.
