In these tumultuous times in which we live, people want to know whether or not God is real, and people are wondering whether or not God is able to intervene, with those questions, many seek the prophetic, giving rise this current phenomenon.

As genuine prophets of God arise, giving words of comfort, so do false ones, acting as wolves in sheep's clothing. How are we to recognize the real? How are we to recognize the fake?

Deuteronomy 18:18-22 and 1 Corinthians 14:1-5 are passages that could shed light on this issue.
