In conversation with Chris Ballin, who has just released his new single What's Going On, a song that is relevant to our times 

Chris Ballin was born in Nottingham, England with his musical journey beginning at the tender age of 8yrs, when he was a keen and active drummer. By the age of 10yrs he had joined his first family band. Chris was born into a musical family with his mum playing church organ and dad a keen social singer. By the age of 16yrs, Chris took centre stage as lead vocalist in a local band in Nottingham. His vocal talents began to shine as lead singer performing on the club circuit in Nottingham.

Chris was driven and moved to London to pursue his musical career. He was quickly snapped up to tour with many established European artists and bands to work as a featured lead vocalist and backing vocalists. Chris has worked with Caron Wheeler (Soul to Soul), Candy Dulfer, Kim Wilde, Maxi Priest. Chris is strong song writer and has developed this skill through many collaborations with many of Europe’s most gifted writer/producers, which culminated in the creation of his debut album ‘Do It Right’. ‘Do It Right’ was released to critical acclaim and is widely regarded as one of the finest recordings ever created by a UK artist. He went on to do lead vocals with Incognito in 1997 on 2 of their albums “Beneath The Surface” and ‘Inner Shade’. Chris has now developed an extensive catalogue of ballads and R&B tracks and is busy working on a new album
