"MAIN PAGE” link: KingsOTR.com   *this series would be rated MA for profanity, drug use, descriptions of violence and sexual situations and dialogue   KINGS OF THE RING is a fictional re-telling of the 1980's Wrestling Wars, written and produced like a gritty cable TV drama.  It was created and produced by people from the wrestling business to be the definitive series based on the wrestling industry just like other ensemble cast "workplace dramas” like the Morning Show, Mad Men, Ballers, Empire, Mozart in the Jungle, The Sopranos, and many more.    For wrestling fans, it's a visualization and realization of how different and crazy the 80’s wrestling scene was compared to today, and for non-wrestling fans, it's a peek into a world you never knew with all the hallmarks of today’s cable dramas.  It’s a show about political battles, corporate wars, espionage, and backstabbing.  It’s about the people who lived in this world in a time where living an alter-ego was your full-time job.  It’s about competing philosophies, fathers and sons, old vs. new, real vs. fake, racism, misogyny, and the sex, drugs, and muscles lifestyle of the 80’s wrestler.   KINGS OF THE RING was created by and stars Steve Te Tai, the first Maori (indigenous people of New Zealand) pro-wrestling “Booker/Writer”, and features family members of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, in the cast and consultation.
