Is It Wrong To Watch “The Chosen?”

The Chosen is a crowd funded streaming series about Jesus and the lives of His followers. It is has been very successful according to film and media critics. However, although it is based on the Gospels and has a lot of biblical content, a good bit of it is historically “plausible” narratives and dialogue designed for TV entertainment purposes. As a result, some Christians are critical of the show. Derek and I examine some of the criticisms as we attempt to answer the question, “Is it wrong for Christians to watch the Chosen”?

The 17:17 podcast is a ministry of Roseville Baptist Church (MN) that seeks to tackle cultural issues and societal questions from a biblical worldview so that listeners discover what the Bible has to say about the key issues they face on a daily basis.
