"Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated..." Wait, what?! How can a loving God hate someone? Does this mean that God chooses some for salvation and others for destruction?

In today’s episode, Pastor Jackie and Pastor Derek talk through a controversial passage of Scripture (Romans 9) to try to understand how God can supposedly hate someone while loving another. Many doctrines have come out of this idea of God choosing Jacob over Esau based on nothing good or bad they had done and apply that to salvation for us today. Although this topic may seem confusing, the Bible is actually pretty clear on what God means when He says that He hates Esau and we seek to explore that and give some application for that today!
