When I was in my 20s, my relationship with food was shall we say, a love/hate kinda thing. I was usually on some sort of fad diet, starving myself, or binge eating on whatever destructive food I could find. And although I was a gym rat, I was 40 lbs. overweight and on blood pressure medication. Then there was the phone call that changed everything…

It was 8:30pm and I was in the bath bathing when my mother came in and handed me the phone. It was the doctor calling (never good news when they call that late) to inform me that they’d found a mass on my kidney.

And right then I realized…..something had to change.

Yes, I needed to lose weight, but it was so much more than that. It was imperative to change how I regarded my body and my health. And for the first time take a look at my relationship with food and how I was using it in my life.

I tuned in to how my food choices were directly affecting how I felt, and discovered that there’s a deep connection between food, the body, the mind, and our emotions. And since then, I’ve been able to transform my body, as well as, my mind. I have been able to prove to myself and to those around me that anything is possible.

Our thoughts make us who we are, and so in order to totally

transform, we must make empowered decisions that are in harmony

with what we truly need and want.

Many of the women I work with come to me when they no longer know how to respond to their bodies. These women look at past pictures from their teens or weddings and wonder what happened or where it all went wrong. But what they don’t realize is that they just need to start somewhere, take the first step. With the right tools, resources and support they can have the body they desire while still eating the foods they love.

And with every woman I work with, I see a piece of my former self--the girl at her breaking point ready to give up. But now, I have the training, experience, and resources to help others make lasting change and stand strong on their own. Together, we know we can and will conquer anything.

So from Weight Loss Coach to Nutritional Therapist to Transformational Coach, this is my work and what I love to do!
