INTRO: (00:00) We are so excited about our first youtube companion episode of the year! That's right, on the second Wednesday of every month, you can choose to watch us while we record the podcast. It's fun to see all the interaction and antics. And there are usually props.
OBSESSIONS: (3:05) Alison is obsessed with her organized closet. Over the holidays our producer Ash was in town and helped her declutter. Now she just needs those pretty and functional velvet no-slip hangers. Lulu is obsessed with her new quip toothbrush. It's an electric toothbrush that sponsors nearly every podcast out there, except this one. Yet.
WISHLIST: (8:28) Alison is wishing for the Voloom hair styling tool, which promises to turn flat hair to fabulous hair. Lulu wishes that fingernails grew as slowly as toenails. She hates that she needs a manicure long before she needs her next pedicure. It's so inconvenient.
LULU’S 10K DAY - STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN: (12:35) Lulu stays at Ett Hem, a Swedish mansion that has individual suites. First stop is Swedish Hasbeens for some clogs, then she grabs lunch at Meatballs For the People. Lulu heads on a vintage shopping tour guided by Fräulein Frauke, Sweden's biggest burlesque star. Next she reserves an armchair at Tweed before heading out for a progressive dining experience with The Walking Dinner. A little shopping to help her voice for an upcoming activity - the Mypurmist Handheld Steam Inhaler, some Grether’s Pastilles and a $2700 bottle of water. Oh and she hired four violinists to play horror movie music as she does the stress-relieving Lappis Scream!
ALISON’S 10K DAY - LITTLE HARVEST CAYE: (33:44) Alison is taking nine other people to this private island off the coast of Belize that comes with a full-time, on-site staff. Alison takes the group on an Indiana-Jones inspired day to the Xunantunich Mayan temples and Actun Tunichil Muknal. Dinner for everyone at Rumfish y vino is on her, as are the back & shoulder massages at Siripohn's Thai Massage. Aren't you hoping to be one of her nine guests?
