In case you missed it, a 39-year-old ShopRite employee slapped Rudy Giuliani on the back and said, "What's up, scumbag?" while Guiliani was at the supermarket in Staten Island on Sunday. Following the incident, Giuliani claimed that he had been hit so hard that it felt like a "gunshot." Daniel Gill was initially charged with second-degree assault, a felony charge, however it was reduced to a misdemeanor after the surveillance video was reviewed and it turned out to be not as serious as Rudy claimed. And this event has everybody talking, is it ever appropropriate to harass a controversial public figure? That’s the topic during this week’s Point/Counterpoint.
