Saving the Planet While Traveling The World (With Kelley Louise, Executive Director of the Impact Travel Alliance)

What if every trip you took helped to improve our world, regardless of the destination or type of travel? That idea is what inspired our guest today, Kelley Louise, to found Impact Travel Alliance (ITA), an organization working to educate and inspire people to travel in a way that empowers local communities and protects our planet.

ITA initiatives are based on education and advocacy around sustainable tourism – travel that has a positive impact on a destination’s environment, economy and culture. Sustainable tourism, while often viewed as a niche within the industry, can be applied to any type of travel. By working to incorporate sustainability into all types of travel experiences, we have the potential to change our world for the better.
