One of Yahoo’s “Top Influencers to Watch and Follow in 2020,” Ali Levine used to say that “confidence is your best accessory,” but it has taken on new meaning for her after a dark bout with postpartum depression, the literal and figurative stripping of her old ways while shooting Bravo's hit reality show Stripped, and the trials and tribulations of motherhood. We cover a lot of ground: learning about business at a young age by tagging along with her Dad, feeling like an outsider in high school, starting at the bottom in new professions several times, screwing up coffee orders for Oliver Stone (she not only lived to tell about it, but earned Stone's blessing and received his help in entering the world of costuming) and finding your tribe by leaning into your flaws. Full of humility and heart, Ali drops nuggets of wisdom on a wide range of topics with as much sincerity as she had when she hosted me on her top-rated podcast, “Everything with Ali Levine”.
