Day 40: Moses confronts Pharoah with powers and wonders | Jesus prays about his execution

In Exodus 4-6:1-12, Moses is equipped with miraculous signs by God, including turning his staff into a snake, to convince Pharaoh and the Israelites of his divine mission to lead them out of Egypt. Despite these powerful signs and his brother Aaron's support, Moses doubts his ability to speak eloquently. Faced with his insecurities and God's commands, Moses stands at the brink of a monumental task. Will these divine wonders be enough to persuade Pharaoh and liberate the Israelites?

In Matthew 26:31-46, Jesus foretells Peter's denial and leads his disciples to the Garden of Gethsemane, where he experiences deep anguish over his impending crucifixion. Despite asking his closest followers to watch and pray with him, he finds them asleep, underscoring his isolation and the weight of what he is about to endure. This moment of profound solitude and determination poses a pivotal question: Will Jesus's human fear overcome his divine mission, or will he embrace his fate for humanity's salvation?
