Confidence Hack #34: can incompetence really be an asset?

Sounds very contradicting, right? How can the ‘inability to do something successfully, ineptitude’ derive confidence? Simple. Embrace incompetence with self-awareness.

When we ‘learn’ something, that doesn’t mean it equates to ‘knowledge.’ Knowledge is defined as facts, information, and skills acquired. Learning is defined as the actual acquisition of knowledge.

The key to this confidence boost today is not ‘blind confidence.’ It is ‘self-aware incompetence.’ You don’t know what you don’t know, but you know that you don’t know.

Say that five times fast.

I bet you’ll be more confident after you do!
